We invite all parents, staff, volunteers and supporters to the Annual General Meeting of Friends of In Touch which takes place on Thursday 13 October at Y-Zone Youth Centre, Blackberry Drive, Fair Oak, SO50 8RB at 7.00pm.
We are delighted to welcome as our special guest, Lynne Meechan, Youth Commission Project Officer, Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner Hampshire, IOW, Portsmouth and Southampton. Lynne will talk about the aim of the youth commission, how they work and talk through its four priorities and what they are doing to address them:
- cyber safety
- relationships with authorities
- substance misuse
- mental health
Any nominations for trustees or officers need to be sent to the Secretary, in advance of the meeting, in accordance with our constitution:
- Nominations need to be signed by a member of the charity (this includes any parents) entitled to vote at the meeting;
- States the member’s intention to propose the appointment of a person as a trustee or as an officer;
- Is signed by the person who is to be proposed to show his or her willingness to be appointed.
Some of our current trustees and all the officers are willing to stand for re-election.
Come and help us to celebrate the work of Friends of In Touch and to hear about our future plans now we have been awarded 5 years of funding from the Big Lottery Reaching Communities Fund. There will be refreshments and a raffle.
